Fujoshi loves... Adekan

I want this blog post Fujoshi loves completely ad hoc. I only started this updated with the idea that I don't have to have continue it. I haven't written anything about my current love and discovery of BL.

Disclaimer: I discovered myself more a fangirl than otaku ie. I seriously doubt my ability for deep analysis. I'll just go asdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjkl like I can't contain my excitement. Am I too old for this? YES, do I care NO? XDDDD

Yes on with it.

I love Adekan kyahh asdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjkl

Here is the description on Mangaupdates.

First of all it's listed as shoujo... huh? you'll think. That's Shiro is crazily into sleeping with girls in the brothel. At best, he's bisexual not completely gay. At the end of the day, my favourite couple Kojiro and Shiro don't do any real loving!

Adekan is set very loosely in the late 1800's Japan. I say "loosely" because of the tight leather /buckle gear and the fantasy chinese opera visuals are common features. I don't know what happened in that time period, but it's fairly lawless in the Adekan world. Kojiro is the straight laced police officer solving criminal  cases and Shiro is his "umbrella maker" friend.

I reassure you it never leaves the "shoujo" bounds, more accurately it's shounen-ai that never becomes yaoi. Yes, it's one big tease. Strangely more erotic than any yaoi.

how to put on your underwear... XD

Kojiro is the traditional good guy; warm, principled, stiff & dense. He cooks. He is caring. He keeps teaching Shiro how to wear his underpants XD. He would make a great husband.

Shiro is an airhead with a dark history. (We love heros with dark history) Seems fragile. Constantly being tied up and put in a compromising position. But really Shiro is a real gem of character. Unusual for a "uke-like" protagonist he is not a tsundere and is deeply masculine inside; strong will, physically strong & dexterous. He has a super hero quality (when the scene calls for it). I just love Shiro <3 <3 <3

Even though he is so feminine, he oozes erotism ... he seduces the reader. Need I say more.

This manga has more: great visual style and unusual composition, and a comic plot. I love this to death. It's being scanlated by Nakama and there are also chinese and italian scanlations, just google it to find them. Any comments just mention me on twitter @juunta. You can also follow me if you want. I leave you my favourite scene for the last. <3

I got distracted...

There is a few goals I want to achieve with juunta's shop: Shortening the time I come up with the idea and the actual listing on etsy. Combining my interest in manga and anime with the things I sew. Finding the right item to sew I am satisfied with and that sells.

Shortening the time and increasing the rate of release of each item. The problems are: I'm slow but thorough. Thorough is fine, slow is not. I'm not going to change, so excuse me for being human :p . Yes, I have a big problem.

Combining my interest of manga/anime with sewing. I want to something completely ridiculous. There are some ideas I want to try out but nothing final yet. It's not so easy to find something nice and worth doing. I'll keep thinking.

As with the third problem I haven't found this magical wonderful item yet. Time will tell.

Presenting a series of clutch bags The Black Thread in 3 designs. I made these bags that I really wanted to use myself. It (the original) started as a bag I bring the club, so I could dance without my granny bag. By granny bag I mean a bag with everything useful inside, umbrella, water bottle, wallet, a map, mints, tissue..etc. This is not a granny bag, but one where I have everything you and hands are free to move about. I began using for all day, nearly everyday until I wore it down to bits. This modified version is a replacement for it; I never found anything similar in the shops.

It comprises of 2 compartments. I get a bit confused as to which is back and front, it's beauty of this design :D I'm not bored even after years of using.

Farsetto Medioevale... Medieval Jacket

Ho fatto un farsetto medioevale. This is a medieval jacket I made.

Ho imbottito tessuto di lana con filo grosso. L'imbottitura ci servira' per le botte durante combattimento. I made the paddings with thick thread, like those for denium. The padding serves to protect against blows during combat.

Ci sono delle asole sotto la vita (davanti e dietro) per allegare le braghe con i lacci. There are a set of buttonholes just under the waist back and front for attaching the tights.

Le maniche (alla spalla) sono imbottito per dare piu' forma. Ci sono le asole sulle maniche per allegare l'armatura. The sleeves are padded at the shoulder. There are also buttonholes for attaching the armour.

Le asole sono fatte da machina e poi sono ricoperte con cucitura a mano. To give a finishing touch, I stitched over the machine sewn buttonholes.

Tessuti: Lana
Fodera: Cottone
Bottoni: Argento
Imbottitura: Poliestere

Fabric: Wool
Lining: Cotton
Buttons: Silver
Padding: Polyester

wah Singapore ... damn stress!

roses from roby for our 1st wedding anniversary <3

Wah... what an intense 3 weeks in singapore. Cramming my social life into this short period and then back home in verona, with the long dry spell of nearly no daily human interaction (aside from husband and my in laws) ( which I actually prefer). After clearing some work I will be looking for some idiot part-time job.

This all feels like that french movie I saw years ago Le Feu Follet . Meeting old friends and realising you longer belong to this place nor are you part of their lives. They have changed, you have changed. Everybody is moving on.... with family and kids, married, single, straight, gay... doesn't matter anymore. Everyone is more settled, excepting the situation. Happy to see everyone but i have to go back to my country life soon.

Everything getting expensive, if i move here i have to be very careful with the money, take public transport and eat at home everyday. Life is definitely more intense here, well with more person packed into a square km compared to verona... it has to be.

The local culture is changing from 6years ago. Since culture has never been top priority anyway. It has always been money, more so today than when I left. It is more asian for sure, more chinese, filipinos, thais. I'm not staying here so i have no right to hate it. The beauty of culture if you allow it to change, give it a bit of time it could be good thing. So what if you end up with frakenstein, at least it's alive. If you try engineering it, it will become plastic and singapore will turn into a theme park. The money factor sometimes rob you of your common sense. That aside I think the situation is quite optimistic.

I was lucky enough to go to a political rally in woodlands on the thursday before polling. That was quite interesting. Roby remarked that it is a good start, but 20years behind the level of public participation in italian politics. "Why are the speakers so polite?" "Why are they talking about economic issues only?" I guess I still learning about politics. Isn't it strange that with that many people living here, there is hardly major strife going on. I think the answer is new immigrants hardly have any political power as individuals. If you are new in the country for 2 years, you think about surviving not about voting rights.

Venezia Aprile

Despite my bitching, Venice on a friday night was enjoyable. There wasn't the usual crowd. Nor the parties. So that was bearable. We (me and Roby) didn't know where we going, led by Ivan and Miro. Ivan a resident of Rialto. We were half drunk. Thanks to the bad wine, cold spring air and speed walking it was not possible to get really drunk. The night was short but sweet.

crowd at rialto

The next day we had a late breakfast. We were greeted by the weekend crowd at Rialto. urghhh... quite unavoidable. We went off to meet a friend in a very quiet corner of venice, (I won't say where ;P ) . We ate at a bar... aw the grilled squid was so good. Took a ride on the Ruf's boat. That was fun... We took a train back to verona in the evening.
