Work in Progress...

Working on the bicycle bag sample. That's for my brother in Australia. Can't show anything yet. It's getting a little lonely on the blog so I decide to interview some family and friends. ;)

Some links

The classical playlist that I am listening to on youtube. I have been requested to place this link on my blog, because my dear husband can't seem to find it. (Call yourself a programmer!) I made this playlist to liven up the mood while I'm working and change it regularly so that it doesn't get boring. There are video featuring Martha Argerich playing Grieg. Arthur Rubinstein ... Chopin, Kissin ... Liszt / La Campanella, Horowitz... Chopin. Gustavo Dudamel and the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra of Venezuela (wah... they give a great energetic performance. I heard on BBC worldservice how they formed this orchestra by picking up the poor kids of the streets gave them instruments, inspired them with music.. Some of them would be practicing in the fields amongst the cows. )There are opera pieces as well... Figaro's Aria, Maria Callas, Pavarotti. They are all "wake you up" pieces.

There is another link of my artist friend who works in Singapore. Andree Wescher. I love her performance piece, they are gut retchingly good. Although be warned to have to a strong stomach. I do feel quite blown away everytime I watch it. If u are in Singapore, try to catch her performance.

Oggi e' domenica. Non ho voglia di tradurre in italiano. Scappo, devo fare il bucato. ciaooooo

carpaccio e majong

Friday night at Atillo's and Chiara's. What a fantastic dinner ... risotto al radicchio and then carpaccio con melazane e calciofi (eggplant and artichoke) ;) Da tanto tempo che non ci eravamo incontrati. L'ultima volta era in estate a casa mia e ho fatto gli spaghetti di riso in brodo di gamberetti. The last time we met was in summer at our place. I made prawn bee hoon (hei mee) That's rice vemicelli in broth of prawns, it's a common Singaporean dish. What I miss most is just going to hawker centre there around noon with my parents and having that for breakfast. You get to eat that with minimum effort. Us Singaporeans get spoilt for choice.

Come Singaporeani siamo molto viziati. Quando volevamo io con i miei andavamo al hawker centre e ordinaramo un ciotola degli spaghetti di riso in brodo di gamberetti (hei mee) per la colazione, e costava poco €3. Mi manca averlo con facilita'.

That's a flashback for you. Back to last night ... dinner with followed by a game of majong. As it progressed we were overcame by sleep and drunkness except for Atillo. Anyway he won ! Great! I don't mind losing to you, as long as you keep cooking for us. Dopo cena abbiamo giocato a majong. Siamo sopraffatto dal sonno e dall'ubriachezza, tranne Atillo. Ha vinto lui! Yeah! Non mi piace sconfigere a lui ma non smettere di cucinare per noi... ;)

Chiara spero che trovi un lavoro che ti piace.... <3 <3
